About C & C

Veteran Beauty Expert and Makeup Girl Lianne Farbes knows how to throw a party. in 2009, she was instrumental in the planning and execution of what became known as “NYFW Media Mixer”.  A premiere networking event for online media during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.  Lianne pioneered the concept of a “Branded Sponsored Tweetup” one that was lost on most brands and PR reps until practically every online editor in Manhattan showed up at the first event.

On the heels of that success, Lianne has founded a new unique event leveraging social media for online editors during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week as well as beauty & fashion events around the world called Cocktails and Couture. the event focuses around the concept of a “tweet-up“  whereby people are encouraged to tweet about and talk online about the event in real time.  C & C has been a huge success drawing a crowd of up to 300 online editors, brands, PR reps and Bloggers from the Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle world. There will be a unique #hashtag for each event and unlike her previous events that focuses solely on beauty brands, these will encompass fashion, beauty & lifestyle brands and online editors as well.

About The Founder:  Lianne is a veteran beauty blogger, beauty expert and social media strategist.  She has leveraged Twitter and other social media tools to increase the popularity and traffic on her own blog The Makeup Girl over the past 5 years and has since become somewhat of a public figure in her own right. In addition to running her own website, Lianne has a thriving social media and blog development practice.  As if that weren’t enough to keep her busy, in 2010 she formed Digital Girl Media, LLC an Event Production, Blog Development, Online Marketing & Social Media company offering services for the brand, individual or small business.
